Pipe Repair & Repiping

When Pipe Repair & Repiping is the Right Fix

A burst or frozen pipe that needs immediate repair
Pinhole leaks showing up in old copper
Low water pressure throughout the house
Discolored or rusty water from failing galvanized lines
An older Kansas City home still on original piping
Recurring leaks that signal the whole system is due

From one joint to the whole house

Whether it's one burst pipe on a cold morning or a whole house of failing galvanized lines, we've got it. We repair and replace water lines in copper, PEX, and CPVC, fix pinholes and cracked joints, and handle full repipes. A lot of older Kansas City homes are still running original galvanized steel that's rusted nearly shut from the inside — that's the low pressure and brown water people learn to live with, and it's exactly what a repipe fixes.

As little cutting as the job allows

A repipe has a reputation for tearing a house apart, and it doesn't have to. We plan the routes to open as few walls as the job allows, and we patch the drywall back so it doesn't look like a construction site when we're gone. You'll get a clear scope, a firm price, and a realistic timeline before we start — not a running meter and a surprise at the end.

The symptoms that mean it's time

Low water pressure, discolored water, and repeated pinhole leaks are the system telling you it's near the end. One leak on old copper is often the first of many, because the pipe fails at the same rate everywhere. When we repair a leak we'll tell you honestly whether it's a one-off or the leading edge of a repipe, so you can decide with the full picture instead of paying for the same fix five times.

How Pipe Repair & Repiping Works

1

Diagnose the system

We locate the leak or pressure problem and assess whether it's an isolated repair or a system-wide issue.

2

Scope and price

You get a clear scope, a firm price, and a realistic timeline before any wall is opened.

3

Repair or repipe

We repair the joint or run new copper, PEX, or CPVC, opening as few walls as the job allows.

4

Test and patch back

We pressure-test the new lines and patch the drywall so the space is livable again.

Pipe Repair & Repiping — Frequently Asked

How do I know if I need a repipe or just a repair?

A single leak on otherwise sound pipe is a repair. Repeated pinholes, low pressure everywhere, and discolored water point to a system that's failing as a whole — common in older KC homes on galvanized steel. We'll give you an honest read after we see the pipe, not a repipe quote by default.

Will a repipe destroy my walls?

No. We plan routes to minimize wall openings and patch the drywall back afterward. It's more surgical than most people expect — the goal is new plumbing without a remodel you didn't ask for.

Why is my water pressure so low?

In older homes it's usually galvanized pipe that's corroded nearly shut from the inside — decades of scale narrowing the bore. Replacing the affected runs restores pressure. We'll confirm the cause before recommending anything.
